YTJ Toolkit: Community Building Circles

smartin

Community Building Circles offer a safe space for teachers and students to freely express themselves and share struggles and successes they have in common, creating a bond of community. Circles also allow teachers a window into the social-emotional lives of their students, often enabling them to better understand and support their academic needs. Community Building Circles among teachers, staff, and administrators, create opportunities to share and get to know each other beyond school roles and allow for constructive problem-solving and conflict resolution.
